It is all of these. Wood apparently just keeps getting better as he goes. The songs are more piano chord-based than his previous works, the vocals/chants rich and gorgeous, and the rhythm tracks catchy! The songs are connected by a common theme of connectedness: the idea that all people and the earth share a common origin and our destinies are intertwined. I have personally found Wood's music effective for easing stress, elevating mood, soothing heartache and locating a place of inner peace. "Kindred" like its predecessors is excellent for these. You will be awed by the sheer beauty of the songs and sounds, as well as the higher-self feelings both elicit."
