How weird that no one has reviewed this superb CD that shows a wide range of Kenny's talents -- plus his brilliant funny dark notes. Like all true greats, his sound is unique and is recognizable with the first note. In addition to the avant garde string music that established his reputation way back when (in cahoots with lifelong friends banjoist Tony Trischka and mandolinist Andy Statman) Kenny has done a lot of work in the studio and on Broadway, and recently has tried his hand at eclectic klezmer. "Angelwood" is well worth getting."
