"I've heard her name before but never had a chance to hear her music until i saw her performance in Newport Jazz Festival last May. Her performance was excellent; totally blew my mind away. Her piano background is classical, you can tell from the style and technique which is so precise and beautiful. Some jazz purist may not like her music but they just have different taste. After watching her in the jazz festival, I have bought all her 11 albums (sans the collection) and the video (where's the DVD?) I would recommend to watch her on show. It's a must!"
Keiko Matsui at her absolute best, performing for her fans!

"Keiko Matsui is a fabulously talented pianist and songwriter that successfully fuses jazz and classical music like no other before her. 'Keiko Matsui Live' allows the listener to hear her improvise her music in a way that can only be done before a live audience. This CD captures her perfectly and I ought to know, I was there for the concert! Simply put, breathtaking!"
The best of Keiko

"What I like most about this CD is that it contains many of my favorite songs written by Keiko. It is like having a "the best of Keiko" CD. This CD is great listening from beginning to end and would probably be a fantastic "first purchase" for someone just discovering her music. The sound quality is very good, despite being recorded live. It has a similar collection of songs as the VHS, Light Above the Trees, which I also strongly recommend."
