Not Keak's Best Work

"Ever since 3x Krazy, Keak Da Sneak has had one of the strangest and most unique flow style to him. It seems to me that he has made his style even more rugged and grungy in the recent years, and this is especially true for the Farm Boyz CD. I didn't know what to expect when to pick it up - but I'm somewhat dissapointed. The first thing I noticed was that the vocal quality of the whole CD is a little dim. They are clear and all, but the rappers sound like they've been placed "behind" the beat. The other complaint is that all of the rappers (The Farm Boyz) on the album aren't nearly as skilled as Keak, and I found myself wanting to listen to all the Keak verses instead of the whole CD.
A lot of the tracks are somewhat catchy though, with the best probably being "High Tech Fashion". It has a wacky beat and a real west-coast feeling on the lyrics. A couple others are like it too, and I'm feeling those tracks the most.Overall, if you're a big Keak or Oakland-rap fan, I'd probably think about getting this album. The beats are not as good as usual from Keak, and the vocals are dim, but overall it's a pretty good release.Final Rating: 6.9 / 10"
