"I saw a moon last night that had "way too much moon in it" -- Kaydi Johnson's rendering of the orb in a song about a character named Eddie. Kaydi takes the theme of escaping with a lover and makes it -- with lyrics that are forceful and poetic -- into a short story, a slice from a movie. It's a song about driving away from one's life, looking for something and not knowing what, but knowing that it will be something like the moon and like loving Eddie -- it will match the desire within. This song is just one of Kaydi's poetic rockets into musical space, where her lyrics and her music find new ways of exploring such themes as love, goD (in a delicious word play that would be lost in any attempt to paraphrase), and love lost.
