Kate Taylor's new CD, her fifth release, is called "Fair Time!" and is, according to Steve Morse, the former music critic for the Boston Globe, a "sassy blend of rock and folk and country and soul." All of these songs are new, original compositions. And many of them, including the title track "Fair Time", are about events and people of her near native land, Martha's Vineyard. She also wrote one about her childhood years growing up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As author Nicholas Peck says, this collection is chock full of anti-oxidants, including vitamins R and B. Kate's previous album releases include "Sister Kate", produced by Peter Asher for Atlantic/Cotillion Records, 1971, "Kate Taylor", produced by James Taylor for Columbia Records, 1976, "It's in There and It's Got to Come Out", produced by Barry Beckett at Muscle Shoals Studios for Columbia Records, 1978 and "Beautiful Road", called a "folk-rock gem" by Rolling Stone magazine, produced by Charlie Witham and Tony Garnier for Front Door Records, 2002.
