CD ReviewsWhy She Haunts Us So 07/01/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "Stan Kenton felt June Christy should be presented both as his band singer and as a solo artist. So he began recording her for solo release at the same sessions she did Kenton Orchestra recordings. She built a steady single following on Capitol mostly with novelties but also some songs she would later record again for her own albums. This is an amazing collection of records which are miraculously available again after a half-century. It's all so interesting. The final tracks are the latest discoveries from the Kenton-Christy "Duet" album which seems to have leftover tracks all over the Capitol vaults. There's much more in the way of Christy singles and maybe a follwup C.D. some day."
