"Schatten an der Wand" was her first album, the title song was her first hit. Unlike her later albums, which included more funky and hard rock elements as well as a few blues songs, "Schatten an der Wand" would qualify as 80's-style German-speaking pop. Unlike most her fellow German pop and rock musicians who either sing in English or lack lyric creativity, her song lyrics are poetic and go beyond the usual trivialities."
