My Favorite CD of 2009

"I ordered this CD when it was released in Australia back in April, and it has been at the top of my IPod play list ever since. It has become my go-to CD for working out, travelling, cleaning my apartment and just about anything else that requires a soundtrack. There isn't a throw-away song in the bunch and every time I listen to it, I discover something new. Picking a favorite track is like asking a parent to choose a favorite child. The CD has amazing variety and something for everyone, to the poignant ballad If Only, the beautifully written Sleeptalker, to the thumping beats of Save Me and Scars. Frequently, I get My Baby and On Fire (which speaks to me on so many different levels) stuck in my head. But, that's not a problem, I just turn on the IPod or stereo and rock out a little louder!

To comment on the reviewer below who has taken issue with the price of the CD, I'd like to note that this is the official Australian release, and I'm sure that when the American version is released, the price will be more in line with what we're used to paying for a CD. I paid around $25 for my copy (including shipping from Australia) and it was worth every penny and then some.

I've made the trip out to LA a couple of time this year to see the boys perform, and I can't say enough about the kindness and generosity of this band. No one goes home without a picture or a hug and they are so appreciative for the support of their fans. They are on the cusp of something huge, and I am so proud that I can say "I knew them when." It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of blokes.
