Product Description Mease, originally from Houston, TX, lives in Brooklyn, where he can often be found exploring the abandoned corners of the city, finding peaceful solace in cemeteries, empty swimming pools, and abandoned waterfronts. His debut LP is the result of these wanderings. It was patched together from various recording sessions in Texas, Connecticut, and most notably, his Brooklyn apartment where neighbors' loud parties, clanking pipes, and the sound of traffic were par for the course. CD ReviewsMy new favorite album Michael Lassoff | Houston, TX USA | 07/22/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "The songs on this album are catchy, unsentimental, and full of love. It is rare these days to come across a complete album. This one though, from start to finish, commands attention and joy. My favorite is the opening track, "You Found Me." The melody is infectious, and I am very glad to have had it stuck in my head for the last week. The album continues on full of surprises. Each song claims its own space with its own sound, yet the album remains coherent. In sum, Josh Mease's debut is tasteful and good, easily my favorite new album."
