Synopsis

Album Description

José Luis Montón has a remarkable melodic sense and an uncommon feeling for instrumentation. On this recording, he is joined by string instruments other than the guitar: mandolin, cavaquinho and violin. The voice, the most important of flamenco components, is however never neglected. Montón is one of the few musicians working on the renewal of flamenco music.

"although jose is a very fine guitarplayer, I wouldn't recommend buying any of his work. I've never seen him play live but it sounds like he's playing with his nose. Every time you feel like it's gone away, it pops up again; his consistent nosebreathing. Maybe his face is to close to the strings.

If this isn't enough reason not to buy this one; the titel song is a rap."
