CD Reviews

Wow! He is the king of the song!

"I have to say it's a shame that no one here in America listens to such a romantic singer. But trust me he is the best."
Overall an excellent compilation

"The songs on this album are absolutely gorgeous. Especially "Tu Primera Vez" and "Insaciable Amante". Unfortunetly the quality of the recordings is not that great. I can bearly hear anything in "Almohada", there is some annoying Sax or Oboe in "Tu Primera Vez," the kick drum in the opening verse of "Mi Vida" is too punchy, and the vocals for "Insaciable Amante" are totally drowned. In the case of "Insaciable Amante," I can barely hear Jose Jose. I'm sure it was not the original mix, so probably it was an error when the song was tranferred to this specific album. At any rate, if it weren't for these mistakes, I would give this CD a 5-star rating. If you're looking for "Tu Primera Vez," than by all means buy this album (it's a shame there is not a single compilation with this song and "Desesperado"). That specific song is beautiful, but tricky to find (only in 3 albums if I'm not mistaken), and this CD has it. But if it's some other song on this album(especially "Insaciable Amante") that you are looking for, try looking for another compilation."
A must for the new fans of Jose Jose

"Great collection of hits from the 70's and part of the 80's of Jose Jose in his best performance. Very good songs. Each one is a masterpiece. Also, new versions (with composer Rafael Perez Botija style ) of his two golden classics: "La nave del olvido" and "El triste". If you want to know who is Jose Jose this is a very good choice."
