A Masterpiece

"This is my favorite spanish album from Jose Feliciano. Every song on this record is excellent, it is one of his most romantic albums ever. Jose's voice is soulful and pure on every track and his guitar playing as always is a marvel to listen to. I love all of the songs on this album but I especially enjoy "No Hay Sombra Que Me Cubra", which Feliciano wrote in the late 1970's for his wife Susan. This song was originally written in English and it's called "The Only Woman". Another song that I love is "En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor", this track is lovely and beautiful and Jose puts so much feeling into this song that cuts right through the listener's heart. The guitar solo on this song is amazing and it puts to the test once again why Feliciano is considered by many as the greatest living guitarist. I couldn't agree more, he is simply superb. If you love Jose Feliciano's easy going style with plenty of romance to go with it this album is for you and is also a great album for people who are in love. Even if you don't understand spanish, Jose's vocal delivery in every song is so beautiful that one does not need to understand what he is trying to say because the music is so beautiful and soulful that it speaks to anyone in any language. This album was Feliciano's comeback into the limelight. Released in 1982 thru the latin division of Motown Records, Feliciano had not recorded in sometime somewhere between 1976 and 1980 he sort of dropped out of sight for awhile even though he was not recording any new material he always continued touring mainly in Europe and some cities in the U.S.. Without the benefit of a new album and lack of promotion by his manager at the time he did sell out almost every concert that he did. His fans always remained loyal (including myself who has idolized Jose for 26 years). If you like to listen to a truly beautiful album with no misses please, get this album as soon as you can..."
