"Exemplary album by former De Artsen guitarist and brother of Peter Visser(Bettie Serveert). I've owned this album since it's U.S. release sometime around 1995 and still listen to it regularly. When I first bought it I listened to it once and then put it away for several months thinking it was one of those typical self indulgent stream of consciousness records. Something magical happened when I put it on about six months later. I began to get glimpses of the true beauty of these recordings and realize that they aren't self indulgent at all, the recordings create a world, Joost's world. This has to be one of the best records; no, the best that I have ever purchased. The only discription I can think of is this album is it's like sitting in your living room with the windows open on the first sunny spring Sunday afternoon after a dreary cold winter. Slightly more off kilter than a typical release of the early-mid 90's Dutch pop scene. Something extraordinarily beautiful with an even longer shelf life. This is my Revolver or White Album. For the price that you can pick it up here or at other sources, what do you have to lose, maybe the joy of having heard one of the greatest albums of all time and a trip to Joost's heart breakingly beautiful world."
