Jonell Be Off The Hook or Off The Mary-Go-Round

"This song is the tightest song I have heard from a sista is a long time. Its catchy, meaningful, and danceable which is all you need to make a hit like this.Track Listing:1.) Round And Round (Original Version) = This version is great and we no were it all starts. The beat is a bit dull but that's what the remix is for.2.) Round And Round Remix (Featuring Method Man) = This remix be off the hook and Method Man was all this song needed to make it a hit. You may remember this track from the "How High" soundtrack and here it is on its own single making a statement.3.) Round And Round Remix (Instrumental) = The beats are just to hot that they needed a track without the vocals. This single be off the hook and you need to be checking it out so what you waiting for. Are you ready to leave this disc in your CD player going "Round And Round"."
LOVE THE SONG,DON'T LIKE THE WAY IT WAS PROMOTED

"Jonell's "Round & Round" was without a doubt one of 2001's
best singles.Hi-Tek's beat,the sassy lyrics,and the overall
feel of the song made one of the gems that stood out among the other chart-hungry garbage on R&B radio. But as expected,it got slept on!
That was until a commerical sucess MC came up in the mix
and put it in his majorly release film. That commerically successful MC would be Method Man and that film would be "How High".NOW,the same song that radio slept on without Method Man now
hits the Top 20 of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart and gets play on BET with the help of Mr. Tical.Yeah, that's good marketing but why couldn't "Round & Round" get as much love when it was Method Man-less?Hmmm...Yet anyway,no matter how the song was promoted,"Round & Round" is a straigt up gem.And Jonell should defintly be one to watch in 2002!"
