CD Reviews

Awesome CD!! One of the best I've purchased!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a tremendously exciting CD by an artist that was highly recommended. Being a lover of diverse genres, I was drawn to the fact that this CD included many different, yet similar genres, including electronic, jazz, dance and international. I am extremely impressed by this CD; there is nothing mediocre about any of the selections here...everything is upbeat, yet smooth, melodic, yet funky. There is a notable "disco" and pulsating feel on some of the tunes which makes them fun and infinitely danceable. "Trapped" is a perfect example of this style with its distinctly superior keyboard work is fantastic! In "Follow the Rhythm", the listener will find an extremely upbeat sound with a great bass groove. The clavinet and other horns and keyboard in "Injection" are very energetic, yet subtle. "Goodbye for Now" invokes a smooth jazz feel and provides an unforgettable and exceptional transition from the high energy tunes that precede it.

The bio mentions the artist's interest in avant-garde musical techniques and that style shows through as well. All in all, this entire CD is a very well done blend of genres, which allows the listener to experience an interesting and unique fusion of contemporary and traditional music. I am very much looking forward to this artist's next project. I'm sure it will be as good as this one, if not better!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"
