Synopsis

Album Description

The Irish folk singer turned pop hitmaker was one of Ireland's most successful chart artists during the '60s and '70s. He scored an Irish solo No. 1 with the traditional "Muirsheen Durkin" in 1966, then several more chart-toppers before forming the highly-successful Johnny McEvoy And The Country Band to pursue a new musical direction in 1970. This is the first boxed set available of his recordings, compiled by respected Irish DJ Eddie Kelly, who also wrote the informative sleeve notes.
