CD Reviews

Marvelous children's CD
Sharon R. Ross | 12/21/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I had this in record form when my children were little so I was eager
to buy the same recording in CD format for my grand-daughter. She
especially loves Rubber Blubber Whale which she wants to hear over and
over again."
Love it

"I just bought this for my granddaughter, and we love it just as much now as when my daughter danced and sang to it when she was little. We've bought one for ourselves as well! These songs are terrific."
Loved by the whole family -- parents and kids alike

(5 out of 5 stars)

"It's a great record from start to finish. "Cut the cake" is a better birthday song than "Happy Birthday." My kids love "Rubber Blubber Whale", my wife loves Bill Staines' "All God's Critters", and I really like them all, particularly the traditional ones. The kids like the melodies and the words, which are clever. I like the songs but also appreciate the fine musicianship and variety of instrumentation, including the featured hammer dulcimer but also the fiddles and other strings. We liked it at first, but over time we like it even more."
