Joel Haynes is a dynamic hard swinging drummer from Toronto. The Time Is Now is a wonderful display of his talents and includes some old friends with whom he attended McGill University with. Tilden Webb a fine pianist who not only contributes wonderful playing but also flexes his writing and arrangement chops. The title track is a great example of his talents. Bassist Jodi Proznick, another Vancouver stalwart shines throughout this session. The highlight is a beautiful rendition of 'Georgia' on which vocalist extraordinaire Denzal Sinclaire guests.
