"I remember listening to Joe Simon when I was a young child in the 60's. I recently bought his CD, mainly because I love his deep heart felt singing of Nine Pound Steel. I recall Nine Pound Steel as being the anthem for those that were doing time in jails and prisons. Although I've never been in prison, I just love that song, and I love Joe Simon's singing."

"Well put together CD. Songs seem to flow in a manner that keeps you listening. Joe Simon IS THE GREATEST BLUES SINGER of all time. Played CD during cookout and everyone (over 30) who didn't have his music themselves wanted a copy. I discovered him by accident myself. Don't drink and listen if you are sad, the emotion in his voice really makes you feel the pain as if it was you. Choking Kind, Misty Blue, Nine pund Steel, Message from Maria will sneak up on you and have you singing along without notice. Can't say more about this CD. One day VH1 will be doing a special on him and millions will wonder how the world seemingly overlooked the best Blues Singer ever."
