With some decent production, the rock guitar expert manages to breathe a somewhat gritty integrity into a small amount of the blues-rock shredding, excelling of course on a few off-ramp melodic explorations which take him outside the predictable path of merely soloing, if amazingly, over bland riffs. But in the end this album is predictably crushed by an inordinate amount of predictability- simply too much of it sounds too bland in retrospect."
