Synopsis

Album Description
Soothing, instrumental, acoustic, nylon string(classical/neo-classical) guitar works, with influences of classical, new age, jazz, flamenco and perhaps even a touch of rock... New Age favorite "Midnight Watch" has been featured on "Hearts Of Space' on NPR! "Echoes" on PRI has featured that rack, as well as most of the others too! "Gypsies In Snakeskin Boots" and "Wake Up Call" are a touch more "up-tempo" tunes, "Child's Play" is a beutiful open tuned, soft and soothing piece featuring Joe's children's laughter at the opening and closing.

CD Reviews

I have to agree with Murphus "Steve Murphy" on this one.

"Excellent album, perfect for chilling before, during or after dinner or anytime, great for quiet reflection, writing. I sent a long way for it since I'm in South Korea and I'm completely satisfied; play it often. Child's Play and Midnight Watch are my favorites, but all the songs are great. I plan to stop in and hopefully thank Joe personally for creating when I'm in Washington this summer. It's that good."

"Joe Euro owns a wine store in Port Townsend, Washington, and after moving there last month, I wandered in. In addition to three bottles of local beer, I picked up a copy of his first CD, "The High Road," on a whim. I guess I liked the pretty guitar on the cover -- don't know for sure -- but what I do know is that I was in for a treat.

I played the CD while eating my dinner, and then found myself playing it again, and then again once more. Listening to Joe's music was like sipping on hot mulled cider after a long autumn walk in the chilly northern forests of the Olympic Peninsula. It warmed me right down to my toes.

Some of the melodies are familiar, while others are Joe's own compositions. All of them are beautiful, gentle, evocative pieces, and I hope that this is just the beginning of his creative output."
Still Great Listening....

"Stopped in the wine shop in Port Townsend with my sister. I had just flown in from Delaware to see relatives in the Puget Sound area. Mr. Euro's album "High Road" had recently come out and was displayed. "Is this you?", I asked. I bought it, not knowing a thing about his great music, but a lot more about the wines. Back in Delaware, I played the CD (autographed at my request). That was almost ten years ago. Still one of my favorites. By the way, those delightful children on the recording? They're his own, he told me. Enjoy!"
