CD Reviews

Diverse Songstress--If you love "different", this is it!!

"I absolutely loved this CD from the moment I heard it all the way through. I think Jo speaks from her heart and life experiences. The things that she (all of us?) has experienced in her life are stories that are told in her songs. I love to 'discover' new music and to pass it along to friends who enjoy it, as well. This is one CD that I will be passing along to many people. I recommend it highly."
A fantastic debut

"I first heard Jo Davidson in a bar in New York about 2 years ago. Drunk as I was at the time her music touched me enough to make me buy her CD (then called 'Fragile Tough Girl'). The songs are reminiscent of Aimee Mann mixed with a little Heather Nova. Simple, fragile, moving. It's worth buying the album for 'Mental Pollution' alone. That song is amazing ..."

"I found out about Jo Davidson, as I was scanning the web to find information on the film "Friends Til The End" with Shannen Doherty, and especially the songs that were heard during the film. I came across the song "Mental Pollution" and I immediately downloaded it. This song is probably one of the highlights of this album, and by far my personal favourite as it represents my feelings about the whole crisis the world is going through in our times.
I bought the cd from her official site and all I can say is that it's A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I'd totally recommend this album to EVERYONE WHO'S SICK WITH ALL THE TRASH MUSIC PROVIDED AND PROMOTED BY THE MEDIA. I consider this cd as a true oasis to all the rubbish which is being heard in our days. Jo's got a beautiful voice, she's the BEST piano player AND composer and I love the fact that she's here all by herself and her talents.
I can't wait to the next album "The Simply Said Sessions"!"
