CD ReviewsCan't Help Playing It Over & Over Johnny Hodges | Clark Fork, ID United States | 02/10/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "It's been many a year since this old swing jazz fan was so captivated by a recording that it gets played every few days. I have always felt that a key component of Ellington's big band was that soaring clarinet flying over the aggregation. Getting to hear him in depth (there are 2 whole albums, over 70 minutes worth, squeezed onto the CD), I am SO impressed by the irrepressable groove here. In addition to that marvelous clarinet, he also plays a killer tenor sax, often on the same tune. Eat your heart out Benny Goodman."
