""Test of Time" is a 4-song debut CD from a twelve-year-old actress/singer Jillian Wheeler. Jillian's acting resume is impressive, especially considering her age. But equally impressive is her vocal talent, which shines throughout the CD in a way that belies her years. The songs were written by the Gator World Entertainment staff, and they manage to provide Jillian with plenty of opportunity to showcase her vocal talent. Overall, the songs are upbeat and well written, and appropriate for a performer within her age group. The CD opens with what is undoubtedly the best of the four offerings, "Until Summer Comes Again". The song has great "listen-ability", and Jillian's performance is heartfelt and honest. True, her vocal immaturity can sometimes be heard, but let's remember that she's 12 years old; despite that fact, it's obvious that she's got a firm grip on what it takes to be a pop singer, both for today and tomorrow. Track 2, "Test Of Time", is a modern sounding pop song that borrows a Fleetwood Mac riff here and there. Again, well written and well performed. Keeping in accord with the rest of the CD, Jillian's vocals are upfront and clean.... not weighted with needless effects. Granite Rocks made a point during the mix of presenting Jillian as she is... and that decision was a good one. Track 3, "Hide Your Love" sounds somewhat reminiscent of an early 90's power ballad, and Jillian handles it smoothly. The upbeat "Misery" rounds out the package with some great acoustic guitar and background vocals - not to mention another fine performance by Jillian. After listening to the CD, it's hard to argue the fact that Jillian has the potential to leave her mark in the music industry - with the right management and a few breaks. True, she's only twelve, but she definitely has the building blocks to become a great vocalist in a few short years. Based on her impressive resume, the hardest part for this ambitious and talented girl may be having to choose between acting, music, or who knows what else?"
