Synopsis

Album Description
Jesse Belvin was one of the smoothest balladeers of the fifties, as anyone who has ever heard "Goodnight My Love" knows. Now, producer Aaron Fuchs has compiled twenty-nine of his previously unreleased tracks! The range of material ? some solo, many with The Chargers ? is remarkable, from a novelty like "Rock ?n? Roll Cowboy" to ballads and a take on The Fiestas? "So Fine."

CD Reviews

Jesse Belvin's So Fine....another tragedy
Jesse L. Belvin | Dallas Tx. USA | 08/11/2008
(2 out of 5 stars)

"Hello...to all that are interested in purchasing this CD. My name is Jesse Belvin Jr...and I am the son & heir of the Jesse Belvin Estate. Tuff City Records, Night Train Records, and the CEO there..."Aaron Fuchs" illegally took..."S T O L E" 26...OF THE 29 SONGS on this So Fine cd...from "ME"!!! I was contacted by Tuff City...and Aaron Fuchs...saying that they'd heard of me possibly having some "never before released tracs" containing my fathers work, and I was told that they had already obtained 3-4 songs, but did'nt have close to enough material to produce a CD. Of course I was interested in getting the music that I had on to a CD...because I knew how his fans loved him, and how that tragic accident...killing him and my mother...left so many of us craving more of him. I(at the time) lived in Los Angeles, and their record company was/is in New York,so in order to pull this off, there had to be a certain amount of trust involved...and they courted me into thinking that we were to have somewhat of a joint venture. After they got my reels in their posession...they then sent me an agreement/ contract, that was more of an "INSULT" than anything else, and from that day to this one..."I STILL HAVE THE UNSIGNED AGREEMENT"...that states that they had only "3" songs...the remaining songs belonging to me..."26 songs", and since we were in different states, they held my reels all this time, until they finally released "So Fine", in 2006...,I guess they thought that I'd disappear...(?)...,go figure. My Atty., is in the midst of righting this terrible wrong, but I'd still like to ask you...as "Jesse Belvin Fans",to P L E A S E NOT SUPPORT THIS CD. They were so thirsty(and conniving)...the three songs on the CD...that they supposedly had in the beginning...are'nt even my father singing. They are some "verrrrrrrrry crooked...dirty dogs",and I'm excited because I know that my day in court is near. To sincere Jesse Belvin fans, you can search for me,and the music that I've posted on my father,in Youtube and or "you-know-which" space!!!(wink) "Thanks For Your Support" in this matter...I look forward to hearing from you...and I reeeeeally look foward to your support!!! Jesse Belvin Jr."
