This is a CD dedicated to the children of the world and specifically to Elian Gonzalez and his family. The first song is a medley for Elian. The Samba is a brilliant instrumental solo by my pianist, Barry Velleman. A Child Is Born is by Thad Jones and celebrates the birth of a child. Summer Me, Winter Me is a stunning ballad that perfectly describes what love truly means. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this CD will be donated to the Milwaukee High School of the Arts Jazz Fund to further their jazz programs. Speak Low is a Latin flavored version of this beautiful Kurt Weil tune from the musical "One Touch of Venus," and features the Dean Rolando Trio from Chicago. Get Here was popularized by Oleta Adams, and is given a new treatment here by Mr. Grillo and the Barry Velleman Trio.
