"Jerry Giddens is mainstream rocker in the style of Mellencamp, Petty or Springsteen. His music is hard driving, irresistible mainstream rock, and his songs are politically charged, character driven stories of the downtrodden. It's astounding to me that a talent as big as Giddens' has gone unnoticed. He is fully as capable as similar better-known artists, and his music is certainly just as acceptable. It's possible that he has suffered a bit because of bad timing, since critics has attacked him and his former band (Walking Wounded) for being too political. It's a strange criticism for a genre that includes Dylan and Springsteen, but it's possible that if Giddens were contemporary of these artists he too would be a millionaire. Sadly, he has been ignored. Best tracks are the angry `Burn It Down' the mournful Thin Veiled Line' and the moving, dense `'Hannah'. Highly recommended for fans of folk and Americana."
