Beautiful New Voice(s)

"Very impressed. This man and his gorgeous trombone along with his cool friends. Quality songs and arrangements throughout, all fused with soul, top shelf vocalists -- N'Dambi, Jill Scott, Bilial, Glenn Lewis all in trombone conversations. Take a safe tip...this is one for the collection."
AN EXPERIENCE- Star rating can't describe.

"Bone Deep is one of the BEST jazz albums that I have heard in a long time. Hidden Beach surely gave us another "album experience." It is original. The work is true to the maker. I posted a comment on Mr. Bradshaw's website. He e-mailed me personally. Through the correspondence, he invited me to a local performance in Washington, DC at the Takoma Station. It was truly wonderful. I met him afterwards and he was kind, genuine, and well- mannered to the fans as well as to me and my husband. It was more than worth the 2.5 hour drive to DC at 7pm. I can't begin to express how delighted I am to have met this young man as well as been blessed to hear him play his soul on the trombone. I desired to play the trombone last night. He seems so free when he plays. I told him, "Tell your mother that she did a great job raising you." I'm sorry that the song that he wrote for his mother is not on the cd. Get the cd and keep your eye out for Mr. 28- instrument-playing Jeff Bradshaw. He is just getting started! The cd "IS" real. The live performance is "yummy!" The musicians with him are SMOKING! WOW! There was so much talent up on that stage that I left the club full without eating any food. They were all kind when I spoke with them. I honestly can say that I have much respect for Mr. Bradshaw. I can't begin to say enough about this whole experience-one word "BLESSED!" All of my students are going to do a report on the trombome using his cd as one of their resources."
Bad to the Bone!!!

"Ahh, yes! What a breath of fresh air this CD is! For starters, it's about time a trombone (bone) soloist steps from behind the back to the front, to take this instrument to new directions. And that's just what Jeff Bradshaw does on his debuting CD, "Bone Deep." From the intro teaser and skits, to collaborations with Jill Scott, Glenn Lewis, and the incredible Bilal, this CD sings from beginning to end. My favorite cuts are "Lookin" and the James Brown remake "Make It Funky." I also especially like the effects Bradshaw employs on his trombone, it gives it an almost synthesized sound. Trust me, this is definitely not the usual trombone sound associated with jazz, and that's a good thing.

That said, if you're strictly a jazz purist, this CD probably won't satisfy you. But for everyone else on planet earth, who enjoy jazz fusion or smooth jazz, "Bone Deep" should be in your collection!!!"
