Synopsis

Product Description
The lyrically-driven sophomore effort from New England based songwriter, Jason Spooner, shines with sophistication and authority. Acoustic guitar centric, hook-laden foundations travel alongside Wurlitzer organ, dobro, horns and an air tight rhythm section. The album establishes Spooner as a unique, contemporary newcomer while hinting at a tasteful reverence to the analog songwriter greats of the 70's with its varied palette of Folk, Americana and Pop with dashes of Blues, Jazz and Rock. Also present is the strong influence of the impressive group of guest musicians including Tim Carbone on fiddle (Railroad Earth), Ryan Zoidis on saxophone (Soulive, Lettuce, Rustic Overtones), and songwriter Kim Taylor providing guest vocals.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I discovered him on myspace and downloaded one song, Spaceship. It's been years since I have played one song over and over again. I bought the album and it leaves me only wanting more from this artist. I love his lyrics, and his music and voice are unique only to him. Haunting, soothing..Spooner is an original."
It's Awesome! Great song writing and a great voice

"I saw Jason Spooner band in Austin at SXSW. They were fantastic. I bought the EP at a show and have been listening to it ever since. I recently bought 3 more copies for friends and they love it as well. The song writing is fantastic and the vocals and music are great as well. Nice variety of sounds...love it!"

"This disc is full of great songs. Not a clunker in the bunch. That is a rarity in these digital times."
