"If you were ever a fan of Speed Racer, you no doubt recall the great loungey music that accompanied each episode. This collection gives you more than 50 instrumental tracks plus the original vocal version of the Japanese theme song. If you are looking for the english language theme song however, you won't find it here (and why should you, as this is a Japanese release).My only complaint is that the tracklisting is not also availible in english (which is more common on many Japanese CDs than one might think) so I can just refer to the songs by their track numbers.This CD is for the real Speed Racer fan who enjoyed the music as much as the animation itself. It is also great for fans of 60's lounge/spy/adventure music in general (although the price may keep casual fans away)."

"When I was a child, I loved the Speed Racer animation. The mature plot lines and the magnificent car were amazing. But the music really helped bring out the best in the show for animation at that time. Ever since I was a child, I wanted the music to the show but was unable to find it. A year or two ago, I discovered the Japanese soundtrack. I just had to have it and listen to the music that I grew up with. This is an excellent soundtrack."
