Synopsis

Product Description
Their second album, released in 1973, saw the melodic rockers Jane, from Hanover, continue what they had started on their debut recording: spherical keyboard soundscapes, accompanied by tough guitars and heavy drums. Their irresistible anthems were up to nine minutes long, allowing guitarists Wolfgang Kranz and Klaus Hess to really let off steam. Here We Are almost didn t happen the band s vocalist had died and the bassist had fallen seriously ill. Luckily both had already been replaced when the Brain label asked the band to record their second album.

The re-release of Here We Are is overshadowed by the death of Peter Panka in June 2007. The band s founder member was an institution on the German rock scene. The latest release by Peter Panka s Jane saw the light of day only a few days before his death, Panka having continued to man the drum kit during the group s recent tour.

"This by far Jane's best album and the hardest ever to find. People have paid up to 198.00 for this cd on Brain records. Now it looks like Revisted is going to release all these gems. I urge to get these at the incredible price being offered here on Amazon as low as 12.00. Jane goes thru different stages but on this second outing they get really spacey and atmospheric the opener "Redskin" and "Waterfall" create a dreamy vibe. Amazing production(1973)assistance from the german legend Dieter Dierks who adds tape effects and extra keyboards, just listen to the thick reverb soaked drums and mellotron backgrounds with fat guitars. This could be your new Darkside Of The Moon. I 've been listening to these guys since '73 and I envy anyone thats getting into this for the first time, this is timeless music and never too late to get this stuff. Finally available !!"
