"Jan Krist is one of the nearly undiscovered treasures in songwriting. At a recent event, Jan said that good songwriting takes discipline - and albums like "Curious" are the obvious payoff. It takes time to pen, for example, a love song that says something we haven't heard before. In "Mercy," she writes to her husband, "You have my complete devotion, is this what you ask of me? I'm so in love with you it's humbling, have mercy on me..." In all, the entire album is filled with glimpses of humanity that are not only fresh, but very true."

"After one play was not sure just who I was listining to. Smooth touching hooks anlong with a heart in plan view. "Walking wounded" is bloody briliant. I have 1700 cd and this one ranks in the top ten! A true angel, please keep playing ,,,,"

Timeless Krist Lyrics and Music

"Jan Krist lyrics are timeless and this CD is especially so. The title song,"Curious" is just as appropriate today with the war in Iraq as when written in 1995-sending young men off to war and wondering if it is worth their sacrifice. "Time" changes everything but truth is a simple but profound thought to consider. Wonderful beat and percussion accompaniment of "Works of Love" speaking out for children over the ages. One of her most poignant love songs, "Mercy" will touch your emotions with her honesty. Other notable songs are "Angel Baby", "Jonah and Geppeto". "Widening Sky", Walking Wounded" and "Gravity" a lovely duet with Pierce Pettis. Included is one classic Krist song from an earlier CD "Someone". The diversity of the accompaniments is awesome and Krist voice is energetic or soft as need be. You won't be disappointed in this great CD."
