"Jacob Miller's music conveys that rebellious attitude that was also evident in the music of Bob Marley and the Wailers. Listening to his music, you could hear that Miller knew "what a gwaan". This collection addresses the recurring themes of Miller's songs: Jah, Ganja, and The Downpressor Man, and is a good introduction to the music of a man who had a major influence on reggae music. Unfortunately, Miller died before he was able to make as big a mark on the reggae music scene as he was capable of."

"Few people outside of Jamaica know that Jacob Miller, or "Killa Milla" as he was affectionately known, was as popular as Bob Marley in the mid and late 70's. Fans loved his energy onstage as he bounced around often shirtless, his big belly exposed. He had an infectious voice, songs that reflected the sufferah's experience, and he could hold his own singing a love song, (i.e baby i love you so) Although I don't own this album I am very familiar with his music and can tell you most of the heavweight tunes are here. This would be the one to get.
For those who claim to love reggae and only know Bob Marley, please check out Jacob Miller and Dennis Brown."
