CD ReviewsJackie Payne infuses the Blues with Soul tommyblue | SF Bay Area | 01/01/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "I saw Jackie Payne & Kenny "Blue" Ray perform once and have one of their earlier CDs. I thought they were pretty much a local talent. Regardless of where you live, you should get to know this duo. Jackie Payne's singing reminds me of Bobby Bland and whether slowing it down or going up tempo, he injects soul into each song. Kenny "Blue" Ray produced this CD, as well as played guitar, and the combination of his guitar playing and Payne's vocals make this a CD that doesn't really have a bad track on it."
