"I found a sealed copy in a hip-hop/R&B store for $10.99 while on vacation in South Carolina recently. This is one of a handful of "Southern Soul Sisters" CD compilations Ichiban/Soul Classics did in the mid-'90's that's unfortunately out of print now. There's a newer collection of this material out that should cost less than the EIGHTY dollars some dealers are asking for this one, but I don't think it has as many songs.
I love Jackie Moore's singing from "This Time Baby," her seismic disco hit from 1979. Her voice is just as compelling on these 14 songs, which are mostly singles cut for Atlantic between 1970 and 1973. I never realized before how much Ms. Moore sounds like Candi Staton, who is also fantastic. The (relatively) big hits here are "Precious Precious" and "Sweet Charlie Babe," the former Moore's only single to reach the pop Top 40. The latter just missed, reaching #42.
Almost all these songs are excellent. I especially recommend the last song, "Clean Up Your Own Yard" (and its ahead-of-its-time disco beat) to fans of "This Time Baby." Happy hunting; if this is one you've been after, I feel your pain (it's just coming from other titles).

"It was really her earlier stuff...I'm trying to find a particular song titled "How's Your Love Life Baby". If anyone knows where I can get it or what cd its on let me know...."

"This is mostly her earlier work. If anyone could point me to her later work ie.1973-1979. I'm talking about "With Your Love" and "Sweet Charlie Baby" then I'd have a lot more to say. These album are almost non-existent."
