CD Reviews

This one really does go to 11!

(4 out of 5 stars)

"First heard of JK Northrup from the Cage and Flynn CDs, which I picked up due to being a Terry Ilous/XYZ fan. I'm not a guitar aficionado, but I like that he writes and plays to fit each song, rather than throw in every note possible. Was really happy to find this CD, featuring both Terry & another great singer, Ted Poley! The variety of styles, moods, etc. is nice. Songs "The Road", which conjures up visions of a nighttime highway, and "So Long", also kind of dark, are current faves. "James Taylor" is growing on me...makes me wish these guys would all come play at Tanglewood!! (hey, a girl can dream...)

XOXO to JKN for this album highlighting two of my all-time fave singers! I'm so glad these guys continue to put out great music.

And, I know this isn't musical and probably doesn't help the review but I find his use of my favorite number, 11, everywhere from track count to CD price, really interesting."
