The sound is okay, but a little distant. The recording makes me feel like I'm sitting in the balcony of a fairly resonant hall, but the resonance is not out of control. The program is a little skimpy, containing only the six suites which take Roberts 94 minutes to play, so there is ample room to have included some more Bach piano works. Overall, this set is enjoyable, and given the paucity of reasonably priced competition, a bargain."
