"The supreme interpretative art of Ivry Gitlis makes of him one of the sheerest violinists of the last century. his passion and full commitment around the core of any work he played, made of any new recording a true musical event.



These three violin concertos are extremely hard to get in just one CD. On the other hand the number of successful recordings may be not exceed the fingers of one hand. The masterful sound he got to extract from his instrument was something beyond any possible adjective. His mercurial, temperament, tune and formidable technique never became a narcissist of the instrument. On the contrary, he showed us the minimum facets of these works with its flaming style and personality.



I think it should not be exaggerated to affirm in case you acquire this recording you should be absolutely covered in this sense, because to my mind there's not any other recording capable to match with this one.
