Great music and lyrics!

"Perhaps one of the most introspective albums in Ivan's catalogue. Vitor Martins (one of Ivan's main lyricists)wrote beautiful, thoughtful and deep lyrics for the songs on this album. One of my favorites is "Trinta Anos" (Thirty years). I remember when I first heard this song, I wasn't thirty yet but the lyrics in this song made me think about my life, my accomplishments and my failures....there is a line that can be translated like this: "I have 30 years of projects, nothing for sure, nothing clear nor true. My love, I know nothing comes to me easy...I know too that it doesn't have to be difficult...My love I have 30 years of patience, waiting for my moment, for my time..." When reading carefully it really gets in to you. More if you consider Ivan singing them, he really sings with feeling. The compositions are powerful, Ivan is an incredible songwriter and his melodies are just superb. The most famous tune on the album is "Pontos Cardeais" that was later rearranged and re-recorded in the "Awa Yio" album. This is the first version and its outstanding. The melody is powerful and the lyrics are beautiful...the chorus goes: "...why want more, why talk more, if I never saw myself so close to hapiness..." This song speaks for itself especially if you are in love: awesome tune. The songs are sung in portuguese so you might need a dictionary. The album finishes up with a great jazz fusion instrumental called Fora-da-lei. Ivan is a great pianist.I highly recommend this album!"
