"I'm a bit of an icelandic fan-although I haven't yet traveled there; my horse came from Iceland, I've met a few icelanders, and I wanted to get a feel for traditional icelandic music. This collection fits the bill perfectly. I was also hoping to find a copy of a famous icelandic riding song "Ridum Ridum"-and to my delight, it's on this CD. All the songs are well arranged, well played and often very hauntingly sung. Give this one a go."
Excellent CD

"Whether this disc truly represents modern Icelandic pop music is really inconsequential. It's full of very fun songs which make you feel like putting on a heavy coat and buying a ticket on a Scandinavian cruise. The instrumentals are really superb and Icelandic is the coolest-sounding Germanic language. Possibly the best investment I've made on Amazon."

""Iceland" is actually one great CD. If you ever buy this close-up on Icelandic music, please listen to "Véra matt Gódur", one great song, and actually great plucking-imitation. Plus, you can also hear samples in Encarta..."
