Proof positive that life *IS* worth living.

"The Compact Disc, "Steal the Show," from The Investigators is the most emotionally captivating work I've seen in a long time. It whole-heartedly captures the ups, and downs of life and puts them into words so well, you will swear they were reading your mind. When listening to this CD, you'll relive childhood memories, remember the lives of relatives passed away, and fall in love with old flames all over again. The music perfectly accents the mood of the lyrics, moving up and down, slower and speedier as the CD progresses. This album sets a mood, and changes that mood to exactly what you want to feel next. The album itself seems to have a life of its own, much like one of the great concept albums of classic rock, akin to Pink Floyd's "The Wall." Upbeat tunes such as "MassSkaRaid," make you remember the good times, slower, more solumn tunes such as "Rudy," make you remember all the sad times, while others are simply thought-provoking, such as "Alcoholic," a song about thier former percussionist's brush with alcoholism, and death. The latter is especially hard-hitting, with lines such as, "His life given to him on a whim; killed himself so that he may live," depicts a man given a life with alcoholic parents that were extremly unwanting of a child, but the alcoholism that was imbred into him he beat, so that he and his family could have it better than he did. All in all, the album is the most touching thing that has happened to my life. I will allways have it in my collection, and will always cry a tear when I hear the song, "Spending the Night." Kudos, Investigators.. Kudos.."
