"This cd, volume two of a two cd set, has Peplowski playing pedal-to-the-metal, red hot, swinging hard over the fantastic swift hands of drummer Joe Ascione and an all-star band. This album is a shade less interesting than volume one but a marvelous tribute to the wonderful time warp that brought Goodman's music, repertoire, ideas back in Peplowski's newly eloquent guise. Many in the business insist that Peplowski is better than Goodman was, but that's not a necessary thought. Just dig what advanced technique, deep rich tone, unmatched inventiveness, and power to spare do to the Swing Tradition! Out of all the wannabes steps Peps to put us all to shame!"
