CD Reviews

Looking for recognition in a digital world.
06/17/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I first found this band through the Trancemode Express collection, a techno-electronica tribute to Depeche Mode. In Trancemode Express 1.01, Interfaith performed a wonderful interpretation of "Fools", although it was their interpretations of "Happiest Girl" and "Rush" in Trancemode Express 2.01 that grabbed me. Anton Floriano's digital mastering and Sara Wallace's haunting vocals almost make the original pale in comparison. I needed to find more, but shamefully it was hard because there is little or no information about this group. Expect for this single, Interfaith is found in various Trance compilations put out by Hypnotic Records. Blood On Mars is wonderful example of this groups capabilities if given the opportunity. The songs are actually rather simplistic with its poetic lyrics while very complex with its electronic dance club rhythms and electronic dreamscapes. While played at work, I've had several people comment on this song (even a professional DJ) as, "awesome to groove to". I'm not a music critique nor do I know any music terms on how to describe this sound... I really just want to show that this is great album that should get the recognition it deserves."
