"Fine Art is an incredible record; one of only two hardcore records from the last two years worth buying (the other being Coalesce's Give 'Em Rope). Ink and Dagger's sound has gone from Swiz-like to something quite undefinable. From start to finish each song takes twists and turns, starts and stops, so many tempo changes you'd think the drummer's legs would break, and every second is a thrill. Some songs are reminiscent of Black Sabbath, others of their earlier 7"s, and still others are a new mix of hardcore and DJ beats. Ink and Dagger is dedicated to taking hardcore to new ground, and this record fully exemplifies their innovativeness."
