CD ReviewsA Musical Journey I Highly Recommend!! 12/28/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "I was turned on to this band when I caught them on tour playing in Arlington, VA. I was visiting a friend down there and went out to the local watering hole where the band happening to be playing. Well, first off the live show drew me in enough to buy the cd, just to take it home and find out the magic it held inside. It starts off in this Beatlesish psychedelic trip in the song "Crawling to Heaven" and than right into the quirky punkish intro of "At The Gun Show" which than blasts into its popped out sing-a-long chorous about "the cows that are listening". Within the the next few songs we go from some rocking 60's throwback vibes to some really beautiful melodic ballads and atmospheric songs. The guitarist Bob Sharkey adds some great vocals leads here and there to complement the main lyric flavors and style of lead vocalist/songwriter Tom Shaner. The rhythm section is kickin at all points necessary and laying back when needed as well. The record was also co-produced by Claude Coleman jr. who plays drums for indie legends Ween and adds some great drum and frying pan parts as well. All in all this record has tons to offer to any listener who wants to hear more from a band than every song sounding similar. The diversity is refreshing and extremeley memorable at the same time!"
