Stripped down Mice Parade

"The warmth and immediacy of the lo-fi recordings Adam Pierce and his German female counterpart Doro Tachler are perhaps the strongest points of this Igloo recording. Mice Parade fans will recognize Pierce's contribution to the compositions, as thoughtful percussion, vibes and samba-inflected acoustic guitars appear throughout. One can tell this is a Mice Parade-related disc, however it is very stripped down, and has a feel to it as if it was recorded in someone's shabbily-finished and warm basement late at night in the winter, if that makes any sense. Lots of Pierce's trademark repetitive, evolving sound textures. Also, the packaging for this CD is some of the neatest and most unique I've ever seen. People who are into design might want to buy this disc just for that reason."
