One of the systems limiting our awareness is the artificial experience of time, which determines the rhythm of our days and which tries to speed us up. This experience of time is artificial because it is directed by mechanic and electronic instruments - clocks, computers, calendars - that are not synchronized with the cosmic order of life on Earth or the universe in any way. By getting too attached to artificial time, we lose our connection with nature and natural cycles. The sun, moon and seasons offer a dependable calendar for those who want to live in a natural rhythm. The 13 moon cycles of 28 days in a year are easy to follow. 260 days form an important period/cycle for the electromagnetic activity of the sun. The orbits of both the sun and the moon profoundly influence our lives and consciousness. The Mayas were familiar with these cycles and incorporated them in their calendars.
