CD Reviews

A good collection at a great price
J. Horton | L.A., California, USA | 02/04/2003
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Although I think the collection "Every 1's A Winner - the Very Best of Hot Chocolate" (red cover) is a little better retrospective, you can't beat the price for this CD. With its focus on Hot Chocolate's 1970s songs, it leaves off a couple of good 80s tunes, but it includes the essential tracks You Sexy Thing and Every 1's A Winner. Some may even prefer this one, because it also includes some good songs not found on the other album. (So get both - I did!) Although a few songs sound like filler, there are plenty of catchy melodies and great rhythms."
Sweet Chocolate - Relive the 70's and Get your Groove on
S. Bains | San Jose, CA USA | 12/26/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Hot chocolate, definitely had the Disco Groove going on. Let the band and Errol Brown bring you back to the 70's hayday with groovy tracks such as ... You Sexy Thing, So You Win Again, Every 1's A Winner, Get Down On It amongst others. If you like Hot Chocolate this is your fix for the complete album.

Get It and Get Down!

Yeah!
Pond Scum Eyes | 04/01/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"John Kay's on top form. Many of the performances of classics here compare to the originals, and the newer songs are from the top drawer. It really sounds live throughout, with a great audience and John introducing all the songs like John does, very amiable, still good ol' john."
