CD ReviewsDark, rootsy Americana with great female vocals and lyrics violet | the WESTERN US | 01/02/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "HOMINY are one of those bands you wonder why they aren't more popular, in any case, this album is impressive; Jessie Solomon (Sykes) fronts the band, and along with some stellar guitarwork from Jim Sykes (who also fronts HOOVER CAIN), this CD is a good investment. I heard they played NXNW last year with a whole new line-up..incl. an ex-member of Whiskeytown (Phil?). I Hope to hear more from HOMINY sometime soon."
